The following links to the greater Austin area hospitals are placed as a service to the site visitor.  The ENA does not make recommendations for or against any hospital or hospital system, rather, supports all emergency nurses at all hospitals.  Please visit these sites to learn more about the hospitals in the Austin and surrounding area.  (this part of the AENA site is still under construction and other facilities are to be added)

From its roots as Children’s hospital of Austin, Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas opened on June 30, 2007 as the newest member of the Seton Family of Hospitals. Located on approximately 32 acres of  redeveloping Mueller community, the $200 million facility is a combination of "high tech and high touch" that spans nearly one-half million square feet, three times as big as Children's Hospital of Austin. That additional space supports increased capacity in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Department, a comprehensive Pediatric Trauma program, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Center, and a host of other capabilities.

HealthGrade Systems, physician led, patient focused hospital opened in 1998.  The 58 bed facility is a cardiac based hospital.  HealthGrades #1 hospital for Cardiac services for 2004-2007.  Solucient top 100 hospitals for Cardiovascular Care.

Central Texas Medical Center is a 113-bed hospital providing a wide range of healthcare services in San Marcos, Texas and neighboring communities. The hospital was established in 1960, and the present facility opened in 1983.

Johns Community Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with 24-hour Emergency Room service. Radiology, Laboratory, and Surgery  are also available.

Johns Community Hospital is a not-for-profit organization, so all generated income goes back into the facility for operating expenses and new equipment. We are a local organization focused on serving the needs of Taylor and the surrounding areas. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
